Highlights from Day 1: Anne Zuerner’s “InterTidal Dance” with kids and counselors from the Parks and Rec summer program.
Highlights from Day 2: A participatory Dawn Dance ritual as the sun rose over the Atlantic Ocean at 5AM.
Highlights from Day 3: A special version of the Movement Party’s score, “I’ll Dance While You’re Dancing And We Will Have Danced Together”, featuring original music from Erik DeLuca and Galen Bremer
Highlights from Day 4: A meditative dance at the edges of Long Pond with a vocal score by Erik DeLuca. “Rounds” (Zena Bibler) featured duets by dancers who moved together across the vast expanses of water between them.
Highlights from Day 5: Katie Schetlick’s ensemble improvisation, “HERE” enlivened Preservation Hall with a dance based on natural phenomena experienced and documented during the artists’ time in Wellfleet.
Highlights from Day 6: Zoe Rabinowitz’s “Steps” on the lawn of Adams Lodge, Wellfleet’s own Masonic Temple.
And for good measure: a shot from our packed Morning Movement workshops, which allowed us to introduce artistic and movement concepts from artists’ work—bridging the gap between participants and audience throughout the week.
